The Warnings Officer (Advanced) course builds upon the knowledge acquired in the Warnings Officer course.

As the highest level of Warnings Officer at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), it is the role of the Warnings Officer (Advanced) to not only create and issue high level, complex or multi-part warnings, but also provide support and guidance to other Warnings Officers as well as Incident Controllers (ICs) and warnings requestors.

Warnings Officers (Advanced) are expected to apply a higher level of critical thinking and provide sound advice around the most appropriate level of warning (or warnings) for any given incident, giving consideration to the risk and potential consequences.
